Insulin Optimisation Syllabus

Type 1 Insulin Optimisation Across All Roots of Health

You will have ample time for relaxation, informal chat, and to enjoy the unique atmosphere of our courses. Meeting others with Type 1 diabetes can be a relief; long-term friendships are often forged during the residential part of the course.

Course Overview

The syllabus is based on the content of a course developed by Dr. Ian Lake for healthcare professionals. That has been improved after a long distance cycle trip to thoroughly test the theory.

The course is centred around The Five Roots of Health and how they affect, or are affected by ,insulin.

We believe that those with Type 1 diabetes should have access to the highest level of knowledge to apply in their daily lives. The ability to understand insulin and work with it is at the heart of the teaching.  You will understand why the maxim; Insulin as much as necessary but as little as possible’ is important in management of this difficult condition.
